Amazon Prime Wayne Rooney documentary: When and how you can watch it

A new Amazon Prime documentary will give an insight into Wayne Rooney's life over the years, both on and off the pitch.

'Rooney' viewers can expect never before seen interviews regarding the many scandals he has faced during his career - including reports of him cheating on wife, Coleen.

Mum-of-four Coleen ultimately stood by the ex-England striker and the documentary reveals how they are now trying to draw a line under the incidents.

When asked why she stayed with him, Coleen said: “When you’re making them decisions, you’ve got to focus on what you want, because you have so many people saying different things to you.

“Obviously I listen to the people that matter to me, my mum and dad, they’ve always given me a positive outlook on things.

“There’s nothing that we can’t deal with, and that’s my way. We’re in a situation, let’s sit down, let’s see what we can do, and can you make it work? And we have."

The deep dive is set to air on Amazon Prime, meaning subscribers to the service will be able to watch the anticipated programme from its release.

If you are not currently an Amazon Prime member, you can sign up for £7.99 a month, and you may be able to take advantage of a 30-day free trial.

It will be released as a two-hour standalone feature, with no follow-ups planned as yet.

As well as taking a look at Rooney's personal life, including his childhood and mental health, Rooney is expected to touch on some memorable moments of his illustrious footballing career.

Rooney launches on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, February 11
