An Amazon delivery truck found itself stuck underneath a Salford bridge. The stranded truck caused traffic in the area after Memorial Road in Walkden had to be closed for the recovery of the vehicle from around 6am this morning (September 16).
The busy road situated next to Walkden Train Station is known for being a hot spot for heavy goods vehicles trapped underneath the structure over the years. A spokesperson for Amazon told the MEN they are 'investigating' the crash.
Pictures of the scene show the large amazon truck wedged under the bridge on Memorial Road which was closed for several hours before being cleared at around 9am, according to Amazon. Salford City Council's Highways team were also called to provide barriers to close off the road.
An Amazon spokesperson said: “The vehicle has now been removed and we’re investigating.”
