Security camera footage released by the Savannah Police Department captured the perpetrators, donning ski masks, approaching the man's residence on Price Street. The attackers proceeded to assault the victim with a sledgehammer-like weapon for nearly eight minutes, causing severe head wounds.

Neighbors who heard the victim's cries for help rushed to his aid and discovered him with multiple injuries. The man required 14 stitches and is currently recuperating from the unexpected and brutal assault.

Following the attack, the suspects fled the scene with $80 stolen from the victim. An Amazon spokesperson clarified that the individuals in the video were not legitimate Amazon delivery personnel, as confirmed by an internal investigation.

The spokesperson emphasized that genuine Amazon delivery workers do not typically approach residences unannounced or request signatures unless previously arranged. Amazon actively monitors unauthorized use of its apparel and takes action to remove such items from circulation.

The Savannah Police Department is actively investigating the incident and seeking information from the public. Anyone who may have seen two individuals posing as Amazon workers in the vicinity of the attack is urged to contact the SPD.
