A brand new streaming service has hit our televisions, in the form of Amazon Freevee, produced by Amazon.
Available from April 27, and supplemented by advertisements, the service will compete alongside other platforms such as Roku, All 4 and Samsung TV+, Birmingham Live reports.
The platform, virtually unknown at the point of writing, operates in a similar way to Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ and Netflix, but unlike these giants, it doesn't cost a penny.

Hosting various popular titles, Amazon has announced that it will increase the exclusive line-up on Amazon Freevee by at least 70 per cent annually.
Listed below is everything you need to know about the newest streaming service:
What is Amazon Freevee?
Originally launching last year as IMDb TV in the UK, the rebrand of Amazon Freevee was introduced to increase titles across the platform and share an identity with original company, Amazon.
IMDb, a website frequently used by the public to check movie reviews, is now owned by massive corporation Amazon, explaining the name change.
While the paid-for, ad-free service that Amazon provides in Prime Video offers newest releases and Amazon-original shows, Freevee will include older, more nostalgic shows and classic films.

How can I access Amazon Freevee?
Despite the platform being free, you will need an Amazon account to access it (although it doesn't have to be a Prime subscription).
Freevee can be accessed through the Prime Video app or via a web browser, and can be watched on Fire TV devices, smartphones and tablets.
What is there available to watch on Amazon Freevee?
Thousands of titles are available to watch right now, climbing to almost 3,000 in it's first couple of weeks of inception.
Classics include Dawson's Creek, 2 Broke Girls, Skins, and films like Mean Streets and La Dolce Vita.
A few original titles that are in development at the moment include Beyond Black Beauty, Post Malone: Runaway and America’s Test Kitchen: The Next Generation.
