Friends, the good folks over at Amazon Australia are back at it again with their limited-edition Christmas pudding, and this year’s is somehow even wilder than 2023’s viral cob loaf pudding.
Created by award-winning pastry chef, TV personality and self-titled ‘pastry rebel’ Anna Polyviou, and country Victorian small business Pud For All Seasons, this year’s Amazon Everything Christmas Pudding is a savoury creation that blends the flavours of a traditional pud with essence of ham, turkey, gravy, pumpkin, cherry, rosemary and more.
Now, we’re not here to yuck anyone’s yum, but the flavour sounds pretty interesting. Amazon Australia and Polyviou announced their collaboration on Instagram, and the people (us) are hesitant but excited to try the unique combination of Aussie flavours.
“My brain cannot comprehend, let alone the taste buds,” said one commenter, while others couldn’t wait to try it and were “drooling”.
When asked about the collaboration, Polyviou said, “I loved the challenge of turning a traditional Christmas pudding into a pudding fit for our great nation in partnership with pud experts ‘Pud for all Seasons’. Christmas is one of the only times where anything and everything goes. We not only mix mouthfuls, but flavours too, and that’s the magic we wanted to recreate in the ‘Amazon Everything Christmas Pudding’.”
Now, Polyviou won’t be making each of these puddings herself, small Australian business, Pud For All Seasons, who also collaborated on the pud, has made each limited-edition batch, and will sell it exclusively on Amazon.
Karen Kelly, Founder of Pud For All Seasons, said, “We had so much fun adapting our traditional plum pudding recipe to incorporate a huge range of the many flavours of Aussie Christmas. We believe this pudding will be a Christmas Day favourite, shipped from my kitchen in Castlemaine to households across the country fast, thanks to Amazon’s convenient delivery options.” Cute!

To accompany the launch of Amazon’s new pudding, Polyviou has also helped craft three unique sauce recipes for Aussies to make at home and drizzle atop their savoury puddings: vanilla butterscotch brandy custard, rich pale ale gravy, and roast veggie and cranberry jam gravy. YUM!
