An Amazon Echo Dot is currently listed for £54.99 ahead of the Prime Day sales.
The device is a highly sought-after commodity that utilises a high-quality sound system and built-in Alexa companion. Several variants are available that include a clock (£64.99), a video doorbell system for smart home use (£114.98), or a smaller Refurbished option (£35.99).
The 5th Generation Echo Dot boasts an improved audio experience compared to any previous version with clearer vocals, deeper bass and vibrant sound in any room.

The device's price is expected to drop in the Amazon Prime Day sales which kick off July 11 - 12. Last year, the Echo Dot's price point fell more than 50%, from £50 to £20.
A range of Amazon-branded devices also see their price tags plummet including the Fire Stick and Echo Kindle. The deals are available to Prime members earlier than everyone else, so being a member can bring some perks that give you access to the best bargains.
