An Amazon delivery driver left dozens of packages in the woods in Massachusetts instead of delivering them because they were stressed, officials said.
The delivery driver went into the Lakeville Police Department Sunday morning in order to report that they had left approximately 80 packages that they were supposed to deliver in the woods, telling police that they did so because they were stressed, according to the department.
Sgt. Shawn Robert noticed the packages in the wooded area while on patrol in the early hours of Sunday morning. He got closer to the objects and discovered that they were three large totes of Amazon packages that had been placed around the woods.
The totes were brought to the Lakeville Police Department where they were weighed, counted and sent back to the Amazon distribution center in Middleborough.
The driver stated that they intended to report the incident to their manager. Police are not seeking criminal charges.
