Amazon delivery driver FIRED after writing 'disgusting' note for mum who wasn't home

A mum says she was horrified after an Amazon driver left a 'disgusting' message on a missed delivery card. The Amazon driver has since been fired.

Kerry Hodge, 28, from Runcorn, Cheshire, had ordered a parcel from Amazon. Unfortunately, she was not at home when the delivery driver arrived with her Amazon parcel - but she couldn't have predicted what she'd find through her letterbox.

Kerry was horrified after seeing the note which was left by a driver, who had dumped the piece of paper and parcel in a nearby bin. The rude, poorly written note gave the mum-of-three quite the shock when she found a handwritten message from the now-sacked delivery driver, and it's easy to see why.

A note from the former Amazon employee caused outrage, with the fuming mum posting the note and an image of the parcels to Facebook.

The 28-year-old took to Amazon's Facebook page to complain to the retailer about the horrible note she received, which led to the sacking of the driver. Posting the photos, Kerry said: "What a lovely note to come home to and to see my parcels have been dumped."

Her post repulsed social media users, with one writing that it was "disgusting" to have been left such a note. The Amazon order was shown to have been dumped behind the black wheelie bin, with several parcels seen propped up on top of black binbags, says the Daily Star.

Speaking about the incident, Kerry said: "I was very shocked at first then I was angry as I'm presuming he was calling me stupid. I'm not fully sure why the note was left like this. It happened outside my house when the card had been posted as I wasn't in my property at the time of delivery. These items were gifts from a group I'm in on Facebook.

"I ordered some artificial flowers. And I was gifted items as well from friends in a group." Amazon has now confirmed the driver was no longer in their employment, releasing a statement which read: "The delivery associate will no longer be delivering on behalf of Amazon. We have very high standards for our delivery service providers and how they serve customers."
