Online retailer Amazon has announced a U-turn on a ban on one of its most popular payment methods which millions of shoppers use.
Last week, the tech giant said it would be banning payments made with Visa credit cards due to a row over rising Visa transaction fees.
The online retailer had been expected to introduce the changes from Wednesday.
However, the ban on Visa Credit cards has now been put to a halt, after the two businesses came to an agreement.
An Amazon spokesperson said: “The expected change regarding the use of Visa credit cards on Amazon.co.uk will no longer take place on January 19.

“We are working closely with Visa on a potential solution that will enable customers to continue using their Visa credit cards on Amazon.co.uk.”
A Visa spokesperson added: "Amazon customers can continue to use Visa cards on Amazon.co.uk after January 19 while we work closely together to reach an agreement."
ITV's Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis got involved after hearing of the news.
Posting on Twitter, he said: "Confirmed from amazon... *The expected change regarding the use of Visa credit cards on will no longer take place on January 19. We are working closely with Visa on a potential solution that will enable customers to continue using their Visa credit cards on Amazon*
He added: "I think the Amazon Visa credit card issue was less scaremongering and more a game of giant corporate chicken - to see who blinked first."
