Amazon Alexa users across the UK have reported problem with its services today
According to Down Detector, almost 8,000 people have logged issues since 7am on Friday.
Amazon's service status dashboard reported no issues with its Web Services cloud platform.

However, many users on social media have logged problems with the voice recognition services.

Luke added: "Anyones alexa refuse to turn the alarm off this morning"

When Amazon Alexa becomes unresponsive you may need to reset your device to get things back on track.
You can reset the device by either using the Alexa app or the factory reset buttons on the speaker.
How to reset Amazon Alexa using the app
You can reset your Echo device using the Alexa app on your iOS or Android smartphone.
- Go to Devices.
- Select the Echo & Alexa icon at the top.
- Choose the speaker you want to factory reset.
- Scroll down to Factory Reset and hit select
- Confirm you want to reset.
How to reset Amazon Alexa using factory reset buttons
Resetting an Amazon Alexa using the factory reset buttons depends on the model you own.
- To reset the Amazon Echo Dot second generation, press and hold the Microphone Off and Volume down buttons at the same time. Wait until the light ring turns orange. This should take about 20 seconds.
- To reset the Amazon Echo Dot third or fourth generation, press and hold the Action button for 25 seconds, which is the button on the right of the top panel.
Wait for the light ring to turn back on and turn blue The light ring then turns orange again and the device enters the set up mode.
