Amazon Alexa is down in the UK, with some users reportedly unable to get their alarms to stop working.
The device stopped working at around 7am on Friday, with almost 8,000 people reporting issues on Downdetector.
Amazon's service status dashboard has currently reports no issues with its Web Services cloud platform.
However, users from across the UK, including Glasgow, London and Manchester, have complained about issues.
Some say Amazon Alexa has stopped responding to voice requests with an error message: "Sorry, something went wrong."
"My whole house relies on Alexa for lighting, heating, security, doors etc - I'm sitting in a dark house in the cold and the door wont open," wrote one complaint.
"She is refusing to acknowledge me!!" wrote another. "On all 4 devices, fire TV and no music. Thankfully I can still control lights on app."
Another wrote: "Echo Show and Echo Spot say "Sorry there is a problem", Echo Dots just give me a blue ring and switch off. Alexa app has a blank page on each device's settings."
An Amazon spokesperson said: “This morning we had an issue that impacted some Alexa customers’ ability to interact with the service. The Alexa service is now operating normally.”
Alexa is Amazon's artificial intelligence voice assistant.
She can be used with a smart speaker or a range of other devices to do things like browse the web, order products, control smart home appliances, and much more.
