'Amazing talent' - Manchester United fans make Alejandro Garnacho demand following squad news

Manchester United supporters are demanding academy starlet Alejandro Garnacho be given his first-team debut after he was included in the squad to take on Norwich on Saturday afternoon (3pm). The rising star has joined up with United at their overnight Lowry Hotel base.

This season has already been one to remember for the Madrid-born hotshot. Garnacho recently trained alongside household names such as Bruno Fernandes and Cristiano Ronaldo for the first time and was called up by Argentina last month - where he got to rub shoulders with seven-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi.

The teenager has scored 12 goals for the United junior teams this season and has been a standout for the U18s on their charge to the FA Youth Cup final. Garnacho, 17, has been added to the squad after Fred (hip) was added to an ever-growing United injury list.

Ralf Rangnick is set to be without Raphael Varane, Luke Shaw, Scott McTominay, Fred and Uruguay frontman Edinson Cavani for the Norwich game. Rooted to the foot of the Premier League standings, the Canaries continue to battle against relegation as United hold on to dwindling top-four ambitions.

Injuries to the above players - and the state of play when it comes to Champions League qualification - appear to have opened up potential opportunities for Garnacho and other promising starlets such as Hannibal Mejbri and Anthony Elanga. He has been handed extensive game-time by Rangnick.

They are joined in the United squad by familiar faces such as David de Gea, Harry Maguire and Ronaldo. Here are a selection of comments as taken from social media platform Twitter;
