A nan who was described as "amazing" and "kind" was joking with her family just minutes before she suddenly died.
Ann Murphy, was Sharkey, 63, from Fazakerley, started to feel unwell after a Mother's Day meal with her daughter, Leanne and granddaughters Bonnie, 22, and Hattie, 18. When the family went to check on Ann, they said they knew something wasn't right and encouraged her to go to the hospital.
She went to Aintree Hospital on Tuesday, March 28, where doctors told the family she had pneumonia and needed to stay in hospital to be put on antibiotics.

Bonnie said: "We started feeling a little bit ill like we had the flu after Mother's Day, so my little sister went around and called me saying she didn't look herself at all. My mum went round and said 'you don't look right, you need to go to the doctor'.
"She was so upbeat, and even after being told she needed to go to the hospital she was saying 'I'm just going to the hospital for a check up'. They told her on Tuesday she had pneumonia."
Doctors at Aintree Hospital took the family out of Ann's room to tell them the 63-year-old was not responding to antibiotics as she should have been and her stats were not where they were supposed to be.
Bonnie told The ECHO: "She said to me and my mum 'I'm not dying am I' and my mum said 'of course not, we're going to get you a box of wine' because she loved the boxes of white wine from the Aldi.
"They then pulled us out again and said they were going to stop looking at the stats and keep giving her antibiotics. They gave her morphine to relax and me and my nan's brother were sat there with her.
"We looked over and I said to him 'is she even breathing' and he said 'I don't know' so we got a doctor and they said she had gone. She had a stroke just after Covid and got over that, she then got breast cancer but had just found out the doctors had got it all and then just died.
"It was such a shock for all of us, we are heartbroken. She was still laughing and chatting away when she was in the hospital."
Ann died on Wednesday, March 29, leaving behind her brothers and sisters, daughter and son in law, grandchildren and nephews. Bonnie described her nan as "kind" and somebody who would "do anything for anyone".
She said: "My nan worked in care for all of her life in Fazakerley Hospital, Windsor Clinic, Stonedale Care Home and loads more. Lots of people have said how caring she was and said if they ended up in a home, they wanted her to look after her.
"She was the funniest person, even when we're crying you can't help but laugh thinking about her. I used to prank her and one time I called her to say all the animals had escaped from Knowsley Safari Park and she was running around closing the windows saying 'those animals aren't f*****g getting in this house'.
"We are all heartbroken but are pulling through remembering the good times."
Bonnie has started a GoFundMe page on behalf of her mum and dad to help cover the costs of Ann's funeral.
She said: "I just don't want my mum and dad to worry, they're both self employed with my dad being a taxi driver and my mum having her own business doing Reiki. My mum was on about having to go back to work and I said to her 'how can you heal people when you're broken'.
"We're overwhelmed by the support so far and can't thank everyone enough."
