'Amazing' Elemis £44 cleansing balm that's transformed my skin completely

Elemis is a brand known for its luxury skincare products and I’d heard a lot about them.

I used to be quite lazy with my skincare, which made my complexion appear dull with blemishes, so I decided it was time to invest.

The Elemis pro-collagen range is said to be for 25-45 year-olds concerned with lines or wrinkles, so I fit the bill (unfortunately!)

I’d often thought about splashing out and purchasing the Elemis pro-collagen Marine Cream but didn’t want to fork out £87.

Many people had recommended Elemis to me, but I was often unsure due to the high prices.

I decided to take the plunge and try the pro-collagen Cleansing Balm that is said to ‘melt away makeup.’

Winner of the ‘Best Cleanser’ at The Hip & Healthy Beauty Awards last year, I had high hopes for this product.

The look

The cleansing balm comes in very luxurious packaging, and was bright yellow in colour.

I was surprised at how soft the product actually was, with a consistency that almost resembled lip balm.

It looked neat and effective in the 100g tub, and let’s just say, you could tell from the packaging the product was pricey.

The feel

I was amazed at how luxurious the balm felt against my skin, it was thick and soaked my makeup up instantly. Considering I wear liquid eyeliner and a fair amount of mascara and foundation, this stuff was seriously strong.

I couldn’t get over how incredible it smelt - it really was like a trip to the spa in my own bathroom.

With a unique blend of nine essential oils including lavender, chamomile and eucalyptus, it was basically heaven in a jar.

Once rubbed off gently with a nice hot flannel, my skin felt invigorated, soft, and smelt amazing.

The result

My makeup was removed with just a few scoops of the balm and it felt like a cleanser and moisturiser in one. I’m aware that most of the time you get what you pay for, but sometimes that saying isn’t always true.

In this case, you really do get what you pay for, which is why I will continue to purchase this product. As someone with problematic skin, I was amazed at how clear my skin was looking after a month of use.
