'Amazing' £5 Boots serum has shoppers 'ditching expensive brands'

Boots shoppers are heaping praise on a £5 serum that has them ditching ‘expensive brands’.

Boots’ Ingredients Hyaluronic Acid Serum has gained significant attention from shoppers, who say it has dramatically improved the texture of the skin. Some have been so impressed that they have said they "won't be bothering with expensive brands from now on”, reports the Daily Record.

The serum is part of Boots’ own ingredients focused skincare line. Made up of eight individual products, it "allows you to personalise your regime without breaking the bank”, according to the retailer.

The Hyaluronic Acid Serum has proven one of the most popular products in the line. It has been hailed for leaving skin hydrated, glowing and plumped almost instantly.

A description for the Boots Ingredients Hyaluronic Acid explains that the £5 serum hydrates the skin and is suitable for all skin types. It also leaves the skin looking brighter and feeling moisturised.

On the Boots website, one reviewer said: "I've never really used anything like this before but as I am now 50 thought it was time to try something. I had researched various other creams but as budget is tight at the moment I thought I would give this a go. It's amazing!

“After just a couple of days I have noticed a huge difference in how my skin looks and feels. Less blotchy and so much smoother. Don't think I'll be bothering with the expensive stuff. For me this is a game (or should I say face!) changer!"

A second wrote: "I have been using this serum, along with the moisturiser, for over a week now and have really noticed a difference. My skin is noticeably much more hydrated, radiant and brighter. I use the serum on damp skin and apply the moisturiser on top to seal.

“The serum has quite a thin texture, but is easily applied and absorbed. I haven’t had any issues with the dispenser as mentioned in some of the other reviews, it has worked perfectly for me. I like the stripped back design of the packaging. I will definitely be continuing to use this product and will be trying more of the Boots Ingredients Range as I am very impressed. Rivals other much more expensive serums I have tried."

Another added: "I’ve used this product over the summer and it’s been a game changer! Morning and evening religiously and I’ve seen a difference in my skin - so much so I’ve ditched the foundation because my skin looks great. Yes it’s not as thick as some serums but it goes far! Only downside is I’ve only found it in one Boots store of the 3 I visit and it’s my least favourite one to get to!!"
