Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Amarius Mims is one of just five first-round picks yet to sign his rookie deal.
The reason for Mims remaining unsigned (at least publicly) remains an unknown. This hasn’t stopped all from going well for the upstart right tackle during work with the team and won’t stop him from eventually getting the four-year deal with a fifth-year option with money based on draft slot.
These are the other remaining first-rounders yet to sign: quarterback Caleb Williams (No. 1) and receiver Rome Odunze (No. 9) of the Bears and quarterback J.J. McCarthy (No. 10) and pass-rusher Dallas Turner (No. 17) of the Vikings.
No matter when pen meets paper, Mims will continue to be in direct competition with free-agency arrival Trent Brown at right tackle this summer.
