Amanda Owen marriage split could air on Our Yorkshire Farm as show set to continue

Channel 5 have issued a statement regarding the future of Our Yorkshire Farm, following stars Clive and Amanda Owen announcing the end of their marriage last night.

It seems despite the pair going their separate ways, the show will go on - with Channel 5 confirm there is a future for their much-loved series.

Amanda, 47, confirmed her split from her spouse of 21 years on Instagram, after months of rumours and speculation regarding the state of their relationship.

She wrote, in a joint statement: "Clive and I have are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to separate.

"This hasn't been easy, but we both believe it's the right choice for the future of our family."

The statement continued: "Although we are no longer a couple, we continue to work on the farm and co-parent together with our number one priority the happiness and well-being of our children."

The former couple thanked everyone for their support and asked for privacy during this "difficult time".

In a statement shared with Express.co.uk, Channel 5 have since said: "We respect the privacy of Amanda and Clive Owen at this time.

"They are very much a part of the Channel 5 family and we will continue to work with them in the future."

Amanda and Clive's children, who also appear on the hit Channel 5 series, are Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clemmy, and Nancy.

The confirmation of their split comes months after rumours started to emerge that the couple were having a rocky time in their marriage for most of this year.

Shepherdess Amanda appeared on ITV morning show Lorraine to address the speculation in December last year.

At that time, there had been reports for weeks which suggested that the couple were on the rocks and that Amanda had been living away from Ravenseat Farm in a separate rented property as they review their future together.

Lorraine asked Amanda at the time: “The show is lovely. And people have got this thing of they feel they know you and have got to know the children, the animals …

“There’s always a down side. Of course you’ve had that attention on your life. And that’s great.

"But then when things aren’t going that well, it can be quite difficult.

“How do you deal with that? When it’s quite difficult?”

Amanda replied: “Well it is. You have your difficult moments. But you have to take the rough with the smooth.

“We’ve just talked about how you weather a storm [as Amanda and Lorraine had earlier discussed battling Storm Arwen]. So we are pretty resilient in the hills.

"That’s all you’ve got to do. You’ve got to remember, the bottom line is, if you are proud of what you’re doing, you kind of sort of have to shoulder it.”

She added: “In other words; ‘Get on with it’. Ignore it”
