Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has travelled to the Ukraine border to interview people whose lives have been engulfed by the conflict.
The Heart FM presenter 51, has a podcast where she aims to tell the story of those affected by Putin's invasion of Ukraine three weeks ago, which has seen families torn apart and fleeing their homes.
Amanda, a mum of two, is at a refugee camp at Medyka in Poland, close to Ukraine.
The Star reports that the TV personality has applauded the sense of community she has seen as donations continue to roll in.
She said: "I am literally watching people trickling in from over the border.
"It’s extraordinary to witness how quickly people have got together. There’s a whole village here."
The actress said she had seen items from Asda and Tesco, adding: "‘It’s amazing where it’s all come from. People are serving teas and coffees and hot food."
She went on, The Star reports: "Every single thing has been thought up. There are even dog leads and dog bowls and toys for kids. There is nothing that hasn’t been thought of."
The West-End musical star posted a series of pictures and videos on her Insta story of her trip.
One moving clip showed people queuing to go back to a city in Ukraine, to help residents after bombs were dropped.
Another showed someone playing the piano, with rubble and piles of donations in the background.
She also posted a picture of charity members from Bristol, and criticising the British Government said: "This little charity trying to make a big difference despite the ridiculous bureaucracy of our government."
The British government has been heavily criticised during the conflict for bureaucracy which slowed down the process for refugees trying to enter the UK.
The mum started the podcast, called Ukraine's Hidden Voices, after being contacted on social media by a Ukrainian mother who was seeking refuge in an underground car park.
Speaking about why she founded the podcast, Amanda said: “I wanted to use this podcast to speak with mums, dads, sons and daughters about what is happening on the ground in Ukraine.
"At this time it’s vital that we don’t turn away, but we turn towards them and hear their stories and try to help in any way we can. Their stories are so important.”
Amanda is not the only celebrity who has been moved to act by seeing the devastating scenes in Ukraine. Hollywood couple Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds announced last month they would match funds donations up to $1 million help refugees fleeing their homes.
