Amanda Holden has spoken out about previous controversies surrounding her Britain's Got Talent dresses over the years - saying that people who complain have "too much time on their hands".
The 52-year-old presenter is known for making bold fashion statements on the show, but some of her more revealing choices have not gone down well with viewers at home in the past. One particular dress worn by Amanda on the ITV series back in 2017 broke Ofcom records, earning 663 complaints from viewers due to its plunging neckline.
But the mum-of-two refuses to let the complaints get to her, declaring BGT as the perfect opportunity to "take risks" with her look. Amanda also bashed the phrase "dressing for your age" and even said she plans to dial things up when it comes to her outfits on this year's series, The Mirror reports.

Amanda said: "Times have changed and I don’t feel anyone should feel pressure to dress for your age. It's all about body positivity and feeling good."
The dress that sparked record-breaking complaints was an £11,000 sheer black sparkly gown by designer Julien MacDonald. But some fans were left unimpressed by the outfit, with one person fuming on social media: "So Amanda is effectively topless on Britain's Got Talent," while another said it was "totally not suitable".
But Amanda was unfazed by the negative comments at the time, saying: "That dress was hysterical – I had bits of fish wire underneath my breasts trying to hold that together. But, look, I'm from a small-chest family, plus you know I'm 48 years old.
"It's all quite laughable, but all everyone seems to talk about. It's been called another national crisis – but, oh no, I will not be covered up."
Despite sparking Ofcom complaints with a number of revealing outfits on the BGT panel over the years, Amanda has vowed to up the ante in this latest series. She told The Mirror: "I am thinking more rubber. I enjoyed wearing latex in the audition and I am thinking more latex in their lives. More latex and more sweating!"
And speaking ahead of the new series premiere, the presenter pointed out the double standards when it comes to the outfits worn by her male counterparts. "It's like the problem is everyone talking about my t**s, while these two all the time - [Simon Cowell's] shirt is always undone and [Bruno Tonioli's] stripping off. No Ofcom complaints about me this year, please!"
Bruno gasped in response: "If you got it flaunt it and you girls [Amanda and Alesha Dixon] got it. I don't understand this complaining, what is the problem?"
Amanda retorted: "It's nothing, people have too much time on their hands."
