Amanda Holden labelled 2019 “one of the best and most extraordinary years of my life” in a joyful Instagram post about the New Year.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge and Heart Radio presenter shared her top 9 pictures of the past 12 months on the app, revealing her most-liked snaps included one of from when she and her daughter Hollie interviewed Angelina Jolie.
Another features her skydive while a third features her resting on a sun lounger after breaking her leg on holiday.
In the caption, the 48-year-old revealed how she “started 2019 with great determination and a new head space which was to suffer no fools, to put my energy into good people and honestly not give a damn about the rest.”
“It’s hard because I’m naturally a people pleaser,” she wrote. “But it’s paid off and I have never felt stronger or happier.
“Most importantly I never forget how lucky I am to have such love and true friends surrounding me. Thank-you for your positivity and support!! Here’s to an even bigger 2020! #newdecade.”
While Holden doesn’t offer specifics on what life events her new attitude has helped with, she has hit headlines over an alleged feud with Phillip Schofield on numerous occasions.
While Schofield labelled the row claims as “hurtful and wildly untrue,” Holden claimed she was ghosted by the This Morning presenter when she tried to offer an olive branch.
Speaking on her Heart Radio show, she said in June: “I did offer to meet him for a coffee months ago, he didn't reply to my text. What can I say?
“I’ve moved on from it, Jamie [Theakston], you need to move on from it.”
Feud claims and broken leg aside, Holden has had a bumper year.
In November she delightedly returned to her former drama school to receive an honorary doctorate while her and Theakston’s charity stunts helped raise over £4 million for Global’s Make Some Noise.
Judging from her Instagram, she’s about to celebrate the new year in a tropical destination.
