Amanda Holden says she's irreplaceable on Britain's Got Talent

Amanda Holden said she doesn't think anyone is suitable to replace her on Britain's Got Talent if she was sick.

Britain's Got Talent returned to our screens this weekend with a variety of stellar acts including dancing crows, stand-up comedians and even The Greatest Showman singers. Joining the judging panel were regulars Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden.

As the show dives headfirst into its 15th season, so does Amanda, who has been with the BGT family since the beginning. Amanda recently confirmed in an interview that she doesn't think anyone would be capable of taking her seat if she ever left the show.

When asked who would replace her if she was sick, she said: "No one. They can just go down to a three! Don't forget, I came out of a coma to go back on to Britain’s Got Talent. There's no one who is taking my seat!"

Amanda fell into a short coma after delivering her daughter Hollie due to suffering from a torn artery. She also claims she died for 40 seconds before being revived and spending several days in extensive care.

The 51-year-old also noted her surprise the current panel has stayed intact for so long. She said: "It’s a pretty incredible achievement – especially in today's TV climate – for the same group of people to work together on the same show for so long and not fall out or be replaced! I think we're always grateful for the gig, but this year more than ever, we are happy to be back sat next to each other and be reunited."

Viewers watched Amanda give away her golden buzzer to The Greatest Showman singer Loren Allred after her performance of Never Enough. The golden buzzer allows contestants to bypass boot camp judging and go straight to the live semi finals.
