Amanda Holden's tribute on what would have been son's 11th birthday

Amanda Holden has shared an emotional tribute to her son, Theo, on what would have been his eleventh birthday.

The Britain's Got Talent judge was left devastated in 2011, when her little boy died in the womb.

She previously opened up about the tragedy during the BBC's Dear NHS Superstars special, where she said she "heard this guttural screaming" after learning her baby had no heartbeat.

She said: "It was the most bizarre thing that's ever happened to me because it was me.

"I didn't know I was doing it - I had no control over myself, I thought it was another person making the noise."

Amanda has said her baby’s tragic death changed her as a person forever, and made her realise first-hand just how fragile life can be reports The Mirror.

Taking to her Instagram page on Tuesday, the 50-year-old marked the anniversary of the tragic day as she shared a poignant photo of his footprints.

Captioning the photo, she said: "You would have been 11 today. I’m still grateful you chose us for your journey .. #Theo [heart emoji]"

Fans quickly rushed to offer support.

"They are our strength and our weakness. Never forgotten and loved always".

Amanda gave birth to her second child two months prematurely after being told there was no heartbeat.

She has since launched Theo's Hope, a fund via baby charity Tommy’s to help provide special bereavement counsellors at all UK maternity units.
