Amanda Holden 'overwhelmed' as she receives gift at Ukrainian border

Amanda Holden has been supported by fans after making the journey to the Ukrainian border with Poland this weekend.

The 51-year-old has a podcast where she aims to tell the story of those affected by Putin's invasion of Ukraine. Families have been torn apart and some three million people have now fled the country.

Mum-of-two Amanda visited a refugee camp at Medyka in Poland, near the border with Ukraine. Photos show the star wearing a huge coat and gloves over layered clothing, and she said her first thought was how cold it was.

In a video shared on Instagram, Amanda said: "There are so many volunteers from all over the globe. [Who have] upped and left their own homes and families to come here and to volunteer.

"There's a real feeling of love, just even me walking down one of these homemade streets, somebody saw I had no gloves on and gave me a pair. I just feel quite overwhelmed by the whole thing to be honest with you."

Friends and fans alike have rushed to offer well wishes to Amanda. Commenting on the Instagram post, singer Sinitta said: "Thank you Amanda, bless you x"

Andy Pervical said: "So good of you", while J Hesketh said: "What an incredible lady you are. And all those helping"
