Amanda Holden issues warning to boss Simon Cowell against replacing her on BGT

Amanda Holden has given boss Simon Cowell a stern warning against ever replacing her on Britain's Got Talent.

The 51-year-old blonde beauty was posed a question in a recent interview that led to her snapping back at her boss, should he ever give her the boot.

Opening up in an interview with Daily Star, the paper asked her who she thinks would take her place on the panel if she was off sick.

She replied: "No one. They can just go down to a three!"

Recalling her daughter Hollie's traumatic birth in 2012 where the Heart Breakfast beauty 'died for 40 seconds', she said: "Don’t forget, I came out of a coma to go back on to Britain’s Got Talent.

The stern warning came as Amanda reflected on her time on the show alongside Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and head judge Simon Cowell.

Since 2012 the line-up has remained the same, with no changes whatsoever.

Speaking of the longevity of the current judging panel, Amanda said that it's a "pretty incredible achievement" in today's TV climate.

She added: "For the same group of people to work together on the same show for so long and not fall out or be replaced!"

She went on to say that she and the other judges all feel happy to be back together and sitting beside one another on the panel once again.

The return of the popular talent show comes after a two year break due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The show catapulted back onto our screens over the weekend and 'fix' claims were instantly thrown at the show after a famous singer bagged the first Golden Buzzer of the series.

Amanda couldn't resit hitting the golden buzzer when one very talented contestant took to the stage.

Loren bagged the first golden buzzer of the series (ITV)

Pittsburgh-born, New York-based Loren Allred tried out for BGT in Saturday's episode, and fans were shocked when they realised that she has already hit the big time previously.

The 31-year-old American singer actually sung Never Enough in box-office smash-hit movie The Greatest Showman.

Not only this, but she has also appeared on The Voice and has duetted with the likes of Michael Buble and Andrea Bocelli.

A BGT spokesperson spoke to The Mirror about the 'fix' claims and said: "We are thrilled to back this year and look forward to viewers watching our BGT bumper special on Saturday and Sunday this weekend.

"Whilst most people will have heard the infamous Greatest Showman track, Loren is not a household name, and she deserves her spot on the BGT stage.

"It’s fantastic that Loren is now able to step out and stand in her own right to be the face, and not just the voice, of one of the most well-known tracks of all time."

*Britain’s Got Talent continues on Saturday and Sunday at 19:35 on ITV and ITV Hub.
