Amanda Holden hits back at Britain's Got Talent fans after final anger

Britain's Got Talent (BGT) judge Amanda Holden has given a rather blunt response to fuming fans who have complained about the winner of this year's show. Comedian Viggo Venn took home the title and £250,000 prize during last night's (June 5) grand final shown live on ITV1.

The Norwegian wowed the BGT audience with another high-vis jacket routine, which was enough for the 33-year-old to bag victory ahead of dancer Lilliana Clifton and magician Cillian O'Connor. The judges were full of praise for Viggo, with Alesha Dixon saying he had "captivated the nation".

Simon Cowell, who got involved with the act by donning a high-vis jacket of his own, added: "At least you didn’t make me look stupid tonight. I have never ever met an act like you in my life, I will admit it, I really really love you now."

However, Viggo's success was not universally well-received, with a number of audience members booing the announcement. There was also a lot of reaction on social media with people claiming the person who should have won was "robbed".

It has led to some of the judges receiving criticism following the final result. But Amanda was quick to point out the result had nothing to do with them on the night.

Posting a picture on Instagram of the dress she wore during the final, Amanda looked glamourous in a shiny silver dress with matching high heels. But the post soon became the focus or angry BGT fans upset by the final result.

Among the fans who were angered by the result was Nadine Charles. Commenting on Amanda's post, she wrote: "Absolutely disgraceful results."

However, Amanda was having none of it and pointed out a big reason behind Viggo's success. She quipped back at Nadine: "It's a public vote."

Her reply to the hate sparked a positive response from other followers. Maisie Fox said: "Yes Amanda, you tell them."

Jarvis Burman told the original commenter to "grow up mate", while Ellie Denning said: "Absolutely! So much talent in this years final but Viggo had us laughing from start to finish.

"We love that & it does take talent to create a character so memorable. We loved him in our house & seems the rest of country felt the same. Altho now my son has just asked me for a few hi vis jackets."
