Amanda Holden has issued an emotional tribute to Paul O'Grady after the legendary comedian's death.
Figures from the world of showbiz are reeling after waking up to the devastating news the Birkenhead TV star has died aged 67. His husband, Andre Portasio, confirmed in a statement that Paul died "unexpected but peacefully" last night.
Amanda shared a close relationship with the Lily Savage star and has taken to Instagram to pay tribute to his legacy. The Britain's Got Talent judge was heartbroken as she said: "Woken up to this sad, sad news.

"I loved Paul. He was brilliantly opinionated, searingly sharp and very funny.. I loved our conversations .. I can’t quite believe it. Thoughts with Andre and their family."
Fans rushed to the comments to share their tributes to Paul after the update. Cass said: "I just ran cold reading it this morning… he was so fantastic, and his legacy will be all of the brilliant work with Battersea and animal welfare."
