Amanda Holden discusses new Revolution Pro range and her ‘double ender’ desert island must have!

Even though she’d been up since 12am and presented on her radio show, Amanda Holden was a vision in pink (and not an eye-bag in sight!). We were lucky enough to catch up with her in a London hotel to chat about her new skincare line with Revolution Pro.

Discussing everything from her earliest skincare memories and watching her mum do her makeup, to her daughter doing her eyeliner and raiding JLo’s makeup bag - the Britain’s Got Talent judge is really excited about her latest collection, and even wears the Wonderplump Cream Duo daily.

Just last week, Amanda launched a five-piece skincare range with Revolution Pro - and not a single item is priced over £12! “In the living crisis, I don’t want people to have to put products back because they are having to feed their kids”.

“You don’t need to spend stacks of money. In the past, I’ve spent all kinds of money [on skincare].”

“When I was 12, I had a mature attitude towards skincare - I’ve always cleansed, toned and moisturised.”

Amanda also told us that she’s “never been so drunk that I’ve gone to bed with my makeup on, but I always sleep with my eyelashes.”

We told her she hadn’t lived!

As for her earliest memories of skincare? Amanda would sit on the edge of the bath and watch her mum do her makeup in the window.

“She used to use orange lipstick and a green eyeshadow - but her face cream was Astrill. I can remember the cream and everything about it! And my Grandmother used Oil of Olay, as it was called then, and I’ve lost my Nan now - she died like four years ago, but she left behind in my house a bottle of Oil of Olay and it’s still in my bathroom cabinet as I can’t get rid of it because the smell is my Nan! I absolutely love it.”

With two daughters, Lexi and Holly, who are of the 'TikTok generation', and Amanda even said that she has learnt “a lot of makeup tips and tricks, all kinds of stuff” from TikTok herself.

“[Lexi] will do my eyeliner sometimes when I want to go quite natural - she teaches me all kinds of things, and I with her. She’ll often ask me to do her hair, or if she wants contouring when she’s going out - she’s so good at makeup! That generation just know what they’re doing. I was of the ‘blue eyeliner and coral lip generation’ - everything was shiny.”

Now if she had to take one of her products to a deserted island? “I would take my double ender, as I like to call it, [referring to the Revolution Pro x Amanda Holden It's Magic Brow & Lash Serum Duo] there’s nothing on the market like this, and it’s £10!”

Even though we would love to raid Amanda’s makeup bag as she always looks so gorgeous, she wants to raid JLo’s! “I just want to raid her bathroom because I just want to know what else she’s taking to look that fabulously young! What drip’s she’s on, what hair products, what moisturiser she puts on - everything! I mean those lovely legs and that great arse of hers. I know she doesn’t drink anything so that’s probably helpful, but I don’t believe in that! Life’s too short!”

Naturally we had to ask Amanda for some skincare advice and her biggest tip? Is to drink water! “It’s boring but it’s true!”

Revolution PRO X Amanda Holden skincare range is priced between £8-£12, available at RevolutionBeauty.com and exclusively in-store at Superdrug and at Superdrug.com.
