Amanda Holden 'despises' Phillip Schofield as feud details emerge

Amanda Holden reportedly "despises" Phillip Schofield as new details of their feud emerge. The Britain's Got Talent star's feud with Schofield, 61, will likely never end.

The mum-of-two, aged 52, has made it clear there is no love lost between her and the former This Morning star, Birmingham Live reports. A source added: "Amanda has long despised Phillip. She was due to step in for Holly while she was hosting I’m A Celeb in 2018 but he blocked it."

A source at the time told The Sun: "Phillip actively campaigned for Rochelle Humes to get the job despite Amanda being more experienced - and having been told privately she'd got the gig.

"She feels Phil unfairly used his powers of persuasion. She was told he'd chosen Rochelle because she was easier to 'manage' on air - and understandably that incensed her." It comes after Amanda was accused of mocking Holly Willoughby in the wake of the mum-of-two's opening speech about Mr Schofield on This Morning earlier this week, as she made her return to the programme after a fortnight.

The Britain's Got Talent judge caused a stir on Tuesday as she asked her Instagram followers: “Are you OK?" She was also wearing a white dress similar to the one Holly wore on This Morning when she broke her silence on Phillip lying about an affair with a younger male colleague.

A representative for Amanda has now hit back at the rumours, claiming the Instagram post had been “taken completely out of context”. Amanda’s spokesperson said: “Amanda has always made it clear in the past she has no issues with Holly. Today’s video has been taken completely out of context.”

Amanda then went on to repeat the “Are you OK?” gag on Heart radio, where she hosts with Jamie Theakston and also Ashley Roberts.
