Amanda Holden lost her cool on Friday evening's episode of 'Amanda and Alan's Italian Job' as she burst into fits of laughter with Alan Carr. In a somewhat poignant moment on the show, which sees the pair tackle renovations on a run-down Italian property, the glamourous presenter admits to wanting to do even more since turning 50.
Airing on BBC One, the show follows Amanda and Alan as they renovate two dilapidated flats that they bought for just €1 (about 88p) on Sicily, Italy's largest island. While the show remains lighthearted and comedic at times, the friends share the occasional heartfelt moment in and amongst the demolition and Italian cooking.
Friday's episode sees the pair sitting in the glorious Sicilian sunset, drink in hand, as Alan reflects on a stressful year. Amada said: "You've had a massively stressful year, you've gone through a divorce, you're on tour, and now we've decided to take on this house. They're all quite stressful things."

Alan replied: "But they say it's the three D's, isn't it, the most stressful in life - death, divorce, and DIY. And I'm doing two of them this year. Thank god I don't cark it. It's early days," he said, before chuckling.
Continuing with the personal theme, Alan asked: "Do you reckon you'll ever stop?"
Amanda said: "No. Since I hit 50 I'm like, I need to make the next lot of years count."
The comedian replied: "You've done enough, haven't you?"
"No, it's not enough, Alan," she responded. "I think we're lucky that we're in an industry where you don't have to stop. I mean Judi Dench didn't win an Oscar till she was in her 60s or something, did she?"
Alan: "No... But then she did Cats."
Dame Judi Dench won her Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1998 for her role as Queen Elizabeth I in Shakespeare in Love. She was 64 at the time.
