Amanda Holden breaks silence on ‘inappropriate’ dress with cheeky ‘nipple cover’ quip

Amanda Holden made a cheeky quip about her “inappropriate” dress, telling fans she has found the “perfect” accessory to cover her modesty.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge was criticised during Wednesday night’s semi-final for wearing a revealing dress on a “family show”.

Holden wore a white gown with floral prints by Nicolas Jebran, half of which was almost transparent aside from an intricate spider web design.

She later posted a picture of herself on the panel with a strategically placed water bottle covering her breast.

“My friend @julietmccormack just sent me this,” she captioned the shot. “Perfect nipple cover @bgt.”

Viewers begged Holden to be more “respectful” with her fashion choices on the pre-watershed show, with one claiming they were left feeling “slightly embarrassed” by her look.

Nine complaints were made to Ofcom, which will be “assessed”.

It is not the first time she has left viewers disgruntled with her choice of clothing, having sparked 683 complaints to the broadcasting watchdog over the course of the 2017 series, which were mostly about her wardrobe.

She sparked controversy by wearing a very low-cut Julian Macdonald dress which some viewers deemed “inappropriate”.

Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden swears again

Ofcom also received 38 complaints about her swearing on Monday night’s show after she shouted “f***” minutes after taking part in a “terrifying” magic act with The Haunting.

She later apologised, telling viewers: “I just really want to apologise I said a really terrible word. Massive apologies. I can honestly say I feel terrified.”

She also revealed the act, which saw her ‘grabbed’ by two ghosts caused her to have a panic attack in the advert break.

Britain’s Got Talent is on ITV, tonight at 7:30pm
