Amad has joked that he would like to win a signed shirt belonging to Manchester United teammate Alejandro Garnacho.
The 18-year-old, who is currently sidelined with an ankle injury, has announced a special giveaway on his Instagram page. He has teamed up with Memento Memorabilia to give away five signed shirts after surpassing five million Instagram followers.
The youngster, who was forced to pull out of the Argentina squad as a result of the ankle injury he sustained in the goalless draw with Southampton almost a fortnight ago, has seen his profile boom over the last 12 months after making significant progress at Old Trafford. He played a key role in the club's FA Youth Cup triumph last season and was rewarded with two cameo appearances towards the end of the campaign.

Despite his undisputed potential, he struggled to force his way into Erik ten Hag's plans at the start of this season, despite the Dutchman having a reputation for developing youth and promoting from within. Ten Hag later revealed that he had been unimpressed with the Argentine's attitude.
However, Garnacho has since blossomed into a first-team regular this term, racking up 29 appearances. He has also chipped in with four goals and grabbed five assists.
His increase in appearances has meant that his profile has been raised, resulting in more people searching for him and following him on social media. He has announced a giveaway, offering five lucky people the chance to win a signed United shirt with his name and number on the back.
In an Instagram post promoting the giveaway on Friday night, he posted: "As a thank you for reaching 5million followers, I'm giving five lucky fans a free signed jersey. All you have to do to win is:
- Follow me @garnacho7 and my exclusive signing partner @mementomemorabilia.
Like this post and tag two friends (the more times you comment, the more chances there are to win)
Winners will be drawn, 48hours after post… Good luck guys! Suerte a todos!"
Unsurprisingly, thousands upon thousands of people have entered the giveaway, desperate to lay their hands on a special piece of football memorabilia. Among those to have thrown their name into the ring is Amad, even though he did not completely comply with the rules of the competition.
He replied to Garnacho's post promoting the competition, writing: "I want it," accompanied by a crying emoji.
The duo, who will both be looking to earn a place in Ten Hag's long-term plans at United, have never played alongside each other in a competitive fixture for the club. Amad has spent this season on loan at Sunderland and will be determined to earn a place in Ten Hag's plans after an impressive campaign at the Stadium of Light.
