Amad Diallo has been hailed as 'terrific' for Sunderland as the former Rangers loanee continues to shine at the Stadium of Light.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst swooped to land the attacker on loan from Manchester United in a January 2022 blockbuster deal in a transfer window that also had Aaron Ramsey join the Ibrox side on a temporary deal from Juventus. Diallo made an instant impact netting on his debut inside the opening minutes against Ross County but he never really kicked on from that point.
He left Rangers with a Scottish Cup winners medal and ended up heading back out on loan to the Black Cats and has been a major player and success story under former Celtic boss Tony Mowbray. Time after time this campaign he has stepped up in the big moments and is showing his quality on a consistent basis.

Former Hoops and Everton defender Alan Stubbs believes it will be interesting to see what happens when he returns to Old Trafford with Erik Ten Hag reportedly appreciating what he is doing on a week in, week out consistency in the English Championship.
Speaking to Grosvenor Sport, Stubbs explained: “Amad Diallo has been terrific for Tony and I think he’s been getting the best out of him. He didn’t have a good time at Rangers. Sometimes a player just doesn’t fit or settle.
"It can be even harder for a winger because he is in and out of the game but Tony’s obviously given him the confidence to go and do his stuff.
"I don’t know what his attitude was like at Rangers but he flitted in and out of the team. Now he is showing his qualities on a consistent basis and it will be interesting to see what happens when he goes back to Manchester United in the summer.”
