Amad Diallo gets honest Rangers verdict as Gio van Bronckhorst reveals 'not so good' moments before hook

Gio van Bronckhorst has pulled no punches over Amad Diallo 's start to life at Ibrox - saying the Manchester United loanee has hadd some moments that were "not so good."

Diallo had a promising start at Rangers after his January arrival, getting off the mark just minutes into his debut against Ross County.

Since then though he has struggled for minutes and his start against Motherwell on Saturday was his first since being hooked at half-time against Celtic.

He was given the nod at Fir Park but lasted just half an hour before he was sacrificed following Leon Balogun's red card.

Van Bronckhorst has been tight-lipped about his exclusion with many expecting more from the one-time £20m man.

But speaking ahead of the clash with Motherwell the Rangers boss explained it, saying he simply hadn't been up to scratch until now.

He told Sky Sports: "I think he has talent. He came in in the winter break, he had some good moments but also some moments that were not so good.

"But he kept training hard and we give him the chance to play now.

"He looks very good in training so hopefully he can extend that into the games."
