Amad Diallo future at Manchester United as Erik ten Hag opens up on former Rangers loanee

Amad Diallo is set for his big chance at Manchester United after Erik ten Hag confirmed his future is at Old Trafford.

The former Rangers loanee has completed a stunning 12 months career turnaround after an unsuccessful spell at Ibrox under Giovanni van Bronckhorst. This season has has moved to Sunderland and is creating headlines for all the right reasons under ex-Celtic boss Tony Mowbray.

He's established himself as a key player for the Black Cats alongside Patrick Roberts with the duo a key reason behind giving the Stadium of Light outfit a shot at English Premier League promotion following a final draw of drama which ended with them finishing sixth in the table. They face Luton Town in a double-header with the winner heading to Wembley to face Middlesbrough or Coventry City in the match dubbed the richest in world football.

Speaking about the young attacker ahead of the Red Devils facing Wolves, Ten Hag explained over his future: "Yes, of course.

"We loan such players to let them develop and make progress, to bring them back. That is the aim of a loan.

"We are really strong on them in the matter of the way we mentor them. We follow them and we have communication through all the season.

"Especially Darren Fletcher - he invests a lot in such processes and the aim is to bring them back as a better player and with better experience."
