Amad Diallo is continuing to defy his doubters as the youngster picked up an award for his efforts at Sunderland.
The former Rangers loanee found life in Glasgow tough despite netting within four minutes of his debut for the Ibrox side under Gio Van Bronckhorst last season. Diallo was a January acquisition that excited Light Blues fans from Manchester United with then Red Devils boss Ralf Ragnick hoping for some big-time experience in Scotland after United splurged nearly £40m on the Ivorian in 2020.
But Diallo has been something of an anomaly throughout his career, eventually finding success under former Celtic boss Tony Mowbray at the Stadium of Light. The 20-year-old has now picked up the PFA Player of the Month Award in the English Championship as he adds that personal award to his six goals and two assists so far this season.

The winger fended off Scotland star Ross Stewart to win the prize, but also opened up on the best player he's ever played with across his career. He said: "I don't have a favourite moment so far this season, I'll wait until the end to give you that answer.
When asked who the best player he's ever played with was, he added: "Marcus Rashford."
