Darren Bent says he wouldn't swap Gabriel Jesus for Kylian Mbappe at Arsenal after news emerged that the Frenchman is seeking a new challenge in the coming months.
According to MARCA, the 23-year-old wants to leave Paris-Saint Germain as early as January because there's been a complete breakdown in relations between club and player. The report adds that he already asked to leave in July but this time there is no changing his mind.
PSG have already agreed to 'collaborate' a move under certain conditions. The main one, perhaps unsurprisingly, is that they don't want him to move to Real Madrid. That limit has reportedly been made very clear in the negotiations: anywhere except the Bernabeu. Liverpool, who are said to have already tried this year, could be a potential destination - though whether they would be able to afford his transfer fee and wages is another matter.

If the rumours are indeed true, it's likely that the biggest clubs in Europe are going to be queuing up to sign the superstar. Whilst many won't be able to afford a fee and extortionate wage package, supporters will be visualising what their club looks like with Mbappe across their forward line.
But Bent doesn't want the same for Arsenal, the club he supports, because Mbappe is always falling out with those around him.
Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: "Whenever we're talking about Mbappe, it's always something; he's upset about something, or he's fallen out with somebody or him and Poch [Mauricio Pochettino] didn't have a good relationship, or he's in charge of now the player's coming in. It's all this kind of nonsense.
"Then he's unhappy. He was unhappy last year, [he] wanted to go to Real Madrid on a free. That didn't happen. Now he's back, he's signed this bumper contract, now again he's not happy."
Bent was then asked by host Andy Goldstein whether he would take Mbappe at Arsenal over Jesus, to which he replied: "Right now, no I like what Jesus is doing. I'm not saying that Mbappe's not a better player because he is."
The former Premier League striker was then asked what he would do if he could swap the two right now. "Nope. Arsenal currently sit top of the Premier League table," he added.
Whilst many supporters would like to see a player of his calibre join the club, his ego may be too big for the project at hand. Mikel Arteta has had issues with players who have big personalities in the past, but his squad are finally all on the same page, hence why they're doing so well.
