Former Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero believes Everton could be the 'surprise package' in the Premier League this season.
The Blues kick-off their campaign with a home game against Chelsea at Goodison Park this weekend. Frank Lampard is currently preparing for his first full season in charge of the Blues after joining midway through the last campaign.
The former England international was instrumental in helping the Goodison club avoid relegation to the Championship. The former Chelsea and Derby County boss has been praised for the way he has connected with Everton supporters, with his name being sung during his first game in charge of the club.

And speaking ahead of Everton's opener, Aguero explained why he believes the Blues could be in for a good campaign under the former England international.
“Frank Lampard’s Everton could be a surprise package this year and Villa, Newcastle and Brighton could all have brilliant campaigns,” he told stake.com.
“Lampard's Everton could definitely be a surprise package. There are always surprises in the Premier League.
“In addition, all the teams have been reinforced very well and incorporated great players. Before I mentioned Aston Villa, Newcastle, which is always a difficult place, Brighton who have been playing very attractive football.”
