A survivor of the horror Alton Towers crash four years ago has revealed that she has bought her first home.
Four years ago Vicky Balch became an amputee in a smash on The Smiler ride.
And last month the 24-year-old finally received a multi-million pound payout for her horrific injuries.
Merlin, owners of Alton Towers, settled her claim against them and it meant that Vicky could 'finally get on with my life'.
And the beautician has wasted no time - buying her first home with fiancé Dino Manciocchi.
Posting on Instagram she said: "Can't contain my excitement anymore!!! @dinomanciocchi love you babe".
A picture shows a card congratulating her on her new home and three sets of keys, two for cars and one which appears to be for the front door.
The stress of trying to reach a settlement with Merlin caused Vicky sleepless nights and even phantom pains in her amputated leg.
Vicky was among 16 injured when a rollercoaster car hit an empty carriage stranded on the track at the Staffordshire theme park in June 2015. Alton Towers was fined £5million.
She told of going to her solicitors Stewarts with Dino, 25, uncertain if a payout was on its way or if the process would drag on.
The payout is earmarked for a lifetime of physio, treatment and prosthetics.
Artificial limbs can cost £80,000 each and need replacing every few years.
Dino and Vicky got together in 2016 but have known each other for years as he is the brother of her best pal.
Before their new home they lived in Preston, Lancs, and Dino, who owns pizza oven company Valoriani, proposed a year ago at the Mottram Hall hotel in Cheshire.
Alton Towers’ owner Merlin Entertainments said last month: “We’re pleased to have reached a settlement and wish Vicky the very best for her wedding.
"Due to the complex nature of Vicky’s case, it was not possible to reach a settlement until now. Interim payments and support have been provided.”
