Providing free warm spaces that Bristol residents can go to has been a joint effort between Bristol City Council and local businesses over the autumn and winter period, but just as with supermarkets and banks, many of these places have altered opening times over the Christmas and New Year period.
However, the cost of heating your home does not stop for Bank Holidays or New Year's Eve, so it is important to know that if you need help there are still plenty of places offering a warm and welcoming space for anyone who needs to come in from the cold. With many people not at work for parts of this period, it can be difficult to keep your house warm all day - but it is important for your health to not spend all of your time in a cold house.
From Bishopsworth to Southmead, local businesses and community spaces are opening their doors and cranking up their radiators to help members of the public stay warm over this period. You can find all of their opening times below.
