Bayern Munich hero Alphonso Davies praised Celtic and insisted they are a 'good team' but reckoned the only thing that mattered was they sneaked through to the next round.
Davies netted an injury-time leveller to break Celtic hearts and prevent the tie from heading for extra time in Bavaria.
It ended Celtic's European adventure for another season, but Davies had plenty of respect for Brendan Rodgers' side.
He said: "This is the Champions League. We knew we were playing against a good team.
"We also knew that Celtic would be playing intensely here and that we would have to counter that intensely.
"That's football and we are just happy that we've progressed.

"We played well overall and defended everything well apart from the goal we conceded. But it's not easy with so many games.
"I knew that I would have to go into the box at the end and I'm happy that I was able to score again in the Champions League."
And teammate Leon Goretzka insisted he always knew Celtic would present a huge challenge.
He said: "I don't think it was a surprise after the first leg went.
"It could have been a bit easier without the goal conceded. However, the last six days with three games were more about results.
"I think we have played great football for a long time during the season and now it's just about results. In the end, we will see whether it will be enough for titles.
"We have to thank Alphonso for the goal because he didn't switch off and went after it. We should probably be grateful to him."
