Departing Nottingham Forest midfielder Cafu has written an emotional message to supporters on his Instagram account.
The 30-year-old will be leaving the City Ground on the expiry of his contract this month, bringing an end to three seasons at the club. He was signed in early October 2020, just a day before Sabri Lamouchi was replaced by Chris Hughton.
Cafu went on to make 55 appearances for the club across all competitions, but featured just once in the Premier League, coming on as a late substitute against West Ham back in August. He will now be moving on, and has said goodbye to Forest online.

"Since I was a kid, I remember to dream about one day to play in Premier League," he wrote. "With all ups and downs, I couldn’t be more happier than achieve this little kid dream with Nottingham Forest.
"I had everything in my hand to live a fairy tale, but unfortunately the opportunity was taken away from me but I (am) still here now with my heart full of love from Nottingham Forest fans. You deserve everything! Your support all these months, which I felt alone and sad, was unbelievable. I wish I could have made you all even happier!
"I miss so much to hear from all City Ground 'caFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU'. You will be always in my heart."
