THREE Lake Macquarie men are behind bars accused of running a major methamphetamine and GBL supply syndicate.
Calan Hill, 33, Jordan Beever, 37, and Steven Raymond Hoadley, 55, have been hit with a total of 96 charges after a six-month investigation by Strike Force Garafalo detectives into the supply of drugs across Lake Macquarie.
The trio appeared in Belmont Local Court on Wednesday where Mr Hill, who is charged with two counts of supplying a large commercial quantity of drugs, and Mr Beever did not apply for bail.
Their matters were adjourned until April.
Mr Hoadley made a failed bid for bail and will next appear in court next month.
Officers from the Hunter Region Enforcement Squad (RES) established the strike force in August to investigate the supply of methamphetamine across Lake Macquarie.
And on Tuesday investigators swooped, raiding two properties where they allegedly found a starting pistol, cannabis, steroids and fireworks.
At a house at Belmont North police allegedly found gamma-butyrolactone (GBL), methamphetamine, gel-blaster pistols, an air rifle and fireworks.
The three men were arrested at the Belmont North home and later charged.
Mr Hill, who is accused of operating his house as a drug premises, was charged with 59 offences, including dozens of drug and firearm offences and the two charges which carry a maximum of life imprisonment.
Mr Beever is charged with two counts of taking part in supplying a commercial quantity of drugs and participating in a criminal group.
Mr Hoadley was hit with 34 charges relating to supplying drugs on an ongoing basis.
None of the men entered any pleas and will remain behind bars.
