Almost 100 bank branches are set to close by the end of next month, meaning many Brits will be left without access to face-to-face banking in their area. Cash machine network Link has shared the number of banks shutting outlets, with 90 to close between now and August 31.
This year as many as 300 high street bank branches are expected to close - including the likes of Lloyds , HSBC, Barclays and NatWest all affected. It comes as banks say they're closures are due to lack of footfall, costs too high to keep many open and more customers choosing online banking instead.
Numerous towns up and down the UK are set to be impacted by the closures, while some communities will be left with no bank branch at all, the Mirror reports. Below is the full list of ones closing and the date they shut up shop for good.
