Both Miguel Almiron and Bruno Guimaraes were on song for their countries last night away from Newcastle's warm weather training camp in Dubai. Almiron was on the scoresheet for Paraguay as they grabbed a 3-1 against Ecuador at the Estadio Antonio Aranda last night.
Guimaraes came on as a second-half substitute for Brazil and grabbed an assist as the Seleção ran out 4-0 winners over Chile at the Maracanã. But, it's been Chris Wood who has been the standout figure for Newcastle's international contingent.
The Magpies forward broke the record to become New Zealand's all-time record goal scorer and has continued his incredible goalscoring week scoring twice in the All Whites' 7-1 win over New Caledonia, despite only being brought on as a 71st-minute substitute. Wood has struggled to find the back of the net since making his £25m move from Burnley to St James' Park, with the striker only netting his first Magpies goal earlier this month at the eighth attempt.

It wasn't all sunshine and daisy's for Newcastle's international players. Emil Krafth was not involved at all for Sweden, while Fabian Schar will report back to Magpies' training ground after picking up an abductor injury.
Th Swiss centre-back was in line to face England at Wembley tomorrow night while he was also aiming to play in a friendly against Kosovo in Zurich. Elsewhere, Martin Dubravka's Slovakia face Norway later this evening.
