Ally McCoist is convinced Celtic can still progress in the Europa Conference League despite trailing by a couple of goals from the first leg against Bodo/Glimt.
But that didn’t stop the Rangers legend having a cheeky dig at their Parkhead defeat as trolled talkSPORT co-host Shay Given.
When the popular breakfast show’s bookmakers odds provider told the pair that the Hoops were 4/1 to progress, McCoist fancied a bit of that.
He said: “I think they’ve got a chance. I know it was an extremely poor result and the first time a team, certainly a Scottish team, had been beaten in Europe by a Wi-Fi password.”
That had legendary goalkeeper and Celtic fan Given in knots along with former Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor.
But Given fired back: “I seen Bodo/Glimt play more football at Parkhead than Rangers about a month ago when they couldn’t get the ball off them. Don’t start piping out now.”
McCoist said: “I accept we were not very good but we’ve made a little bit of a semi recovery and there’s an awful long way to go."
The Rangers strike legend is licking his lips ahead of a mouthwatering tie at Ibrox against Borussia Dortmund.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men won 4-2 in Germany in the first leg as they look to reach the Europa League last-16.
McCoist said: “It was one of the best results in European football in years - Shay’s eyeballing me! - but the big question is can we finish the job?
“Ibrox is going to be absolutely jumping and I can’t wait. The tie is anything but over and the best result Rangers have had in the last couple of days is the fact Haaland didn’t get on the flight and won’t make it.”
Gers are 1/3 to go through with Dortmund 9/4 and Given said chipped in “9/4 sounds good, 9/4 sounds good.”
