Ally McCoist has shown he is a natural in front of the camera after carving out a career in TV since hanging up his boots. And the Rangers striker is set to star on Michael McIntyre’s popular game show The Wheel on Saturday night.
McCoist has been teed up alongside fellow celebrities Clara Amfo, Sindhu Vee, Dan Walker, Stacey Dooley and John Whaite as they look to help three guests, assisted by Ed Balls, win some life-changing cash.
Former Scotland and Ibrox star McCoist should fit in perfectly in a show packed with laughs and trivia after his time spent as one of the team captains on Question of Sport. McCoist’s sporting knowledge will be put to the test with each celebrity bringing their own area of expertise to try and help the contestants answer their way to a fortune.
Each question is worth £3000 and McCoist will be hoping to perform better than he did when appearing on a celebrity version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? alongside Gabby Logan in 2002 when the pair won just £1000!
McCoist is a regular pundit for BT Sport where he has been covering Champions League fixtures for the broadcasting giant this season. The Wheel recently returned to our screens for a third series and is on BBC One at 5.50pm on Saturday evenings.
