Ally McCoist set Celtic vs Rangers 'in the scud' forfeit as Ibrox legend frets over striking options

Rangers legend Ally McCoist was set a challenge of presenting his radio show nude if the Ibrox men come up short in Wednesday night's derby against Celtic.

But TalkSport pal Laura Woods was none the wiser when a punter said McCoist's punishment for a Gers loss should be to do the next morning show "in the scud".

We thought the stakes couldn't get higher with Celtic able to overtake their rivals as Premiership top dogs with a win.

But the derby heat was turned up further as McCoist began: "I'm looking at Woodsy, do you know what the guy meant by, 'do the game in the scud'?"

The concept was delicately explained to co-host Woods by fellow Scot, David Tanner.

And McCoist continued: "So my forfeit, if Rangers lose tonight, is to do the next show in the scud.

"I think that would just drive you insane, Woodsy. I don't think for a minute in a good way!

"I think what they meant is the next time I do a show with Alan, the loser has to do it in the scud. That would be quite amusing."

Onto on-pitch matters and McCoist argued Alfredo Morelos - away with Colombia but unused in both of their CONMEBOL qualifiers - is a bigger miss for Rangers than Kyogo Furuhashi at Celtic.

He said: "Do you know something, having seen Rangers recently, I would say Morelos looks a bigger loss to Rangers at this time than Kyogo does to Celtic.

"That's not saying anything detrimental to Kyogo, who I think has been absolutely different class.

"But big Cedric Itten is taking time to settle back in and that would be a concern for Rangers. They might even start with (Kemar) Roofe.

"But Morelos is a big, big miss for Rangers."
