Ally McCoist reiterates his major Rangers concerns

Ally McCoist admits he can't get over the concerns he has about Rangers.

Last week, the former Gers striker voiced such worries live on talkSPORT as he addressed the shakey start to the season after Philippe Clement watched his team drop out of Champions League qualifying.

McCoist insists it's worrying that players need to be moved on before the Ibrox club can do any more business in the transfer market.

Super Ally was today reacting to Tuesday's reports that Rangers were attracting interest from American investors.

London-based financial media outlet CityAm reported the story that a £150m takeover attempt from the US was on the cards, however, former chairman and still the club's largest single shareholder, Dave King, assured fans there's no truth in these claims.

Alan Brazil raised the story on talkSPORT's airwaves this morning.

"Al, I don’t know but something’s got to be done," McCoist responded. "I couldn’t tell you whether it’s good or bad because I don’t know anything about the potential American investors, I don’t know their background.

"But however, the fact Dave King is insisting there is no truth whatsoever, then I’d have to take Dave’s word for it and say there’s obviously no interest - or maybe not so much 'no interest' but in this moment in time there doesn’t look like there’s a deal to be done.

"But Al, I tell you what, I mentioned last week in conversation with Jeff [Stelling] – I’m just deeply concerned with what’s happened.

"It really looks like there’s a good few needs to go out the door before they can spend any money to bring anyone in. So there are a lot of concerned Rangers fan out there – and I’m one of them."
