Honest Ally McCoist fears Rangers have a tougher quest to reach the Europa League Final compared to West Ham.
It's a double German mission for both in the semis, with the Premiership champions facing RB Leipzig and the Irons duel with Eintracht Frankfurt.
Frankfurt are 14 points behind Leipzig in the Bundesliga but dumped tournament favourites Barcelona out in the last round.
However, McCoist feels the greater challenge will be posed by the side Rangers will take on as they push for a Europa League Final berth in Seville.
Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: "I'd rather be playing Frankfurt than RB Leipzig.
"I just think Leipzig is a tougher game.
"I so want West Ham to beat Frankfurt, I really do."
Leipzig are the favourites to emerge victorious with David Moyes' side second as oddsmakers are hedging against an all-British or German Final on May 18.
But there's no complacency from within the RB camp with stars such as Dani Olmo and Yussuf Poulsen talking up the threat Rangers offer.
The Ibrox side earned respect in Germany for their breathless 6-4 aggregate victory that dumped Borussia Dortmund out in the last 32.
