As if Scottish fans couldn't love Ally McCoist any more than they already do.
The former Rangers and Scotland star today made a hilarious pointed dig towards England during the World Cup final.
Commentating on ITV for the showpiece event between Argentina and France, McCoist hailed Kylian Mbappe for netting a hat-trick in the 3-3 thriller.
It was a blockbuster final in Qatar, with France coming from two down to force extra-time and then subsequently penalties.
Mbappe scored three in the match - becoming the first man to do so since Geoff Hurst in 1966.
Of course, that was rapidly touched upon by his fellow commentary team.
But McCoist couldn't resist a quick mark response to the statistic.
He said: "First person to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final where all three were over the line."
Argentina ran out winners in the end after what must certainly be regarded as the best final of all time.
The South Americans won 4-2 on penalties as the French suffered heartache from the spot.
The victory for Argentina means that Messi has added the World Cup to his already immense trophy cabinet.
He scored twice in the match, with Mbappe going one better to send the game all the way to the death.
